Thanks, Neil and others.

As Rob has tried the Mogami, I will try that first hand, and see what happens.
There is another stress on cables for outdoor use than for indoor use. And 
when looking at repairs that I get, 90% are cable problems. I hate repairs 
and so does the user, so we have an "interest in common" here.
