Marantz sells a considerable number of units into the
stenography, court reporting and other conference/event recording
markets where the extreme sound quality that you look
for is not a primary consideration. The 660, once set
up, makes a very good recorder for those in this area as
it is very simple to operate, so far seems very stable, and
is the natural progression from using Marantz cassette recorders.
