    The MD-DR7 is *not* a Hi-MD recorder. However, it's a great recorder
for all purposes. I use it with an AT shotgun mic for birds and can't
complain about results at all. It has a very long rechargeable battery
life, and a clip-on AA cell booster, but it can't record on a single
disk as long as a Hi-MD recorder. The max is 320 minutes on LP-mono and
most here wouldn't like the quality of LP.
Darn good recorder, but not Hi-MD.
