The unit is charged fron the USB only... a taperssection.com thread had
found a little box that holds 4 AA (4X 1.2V @ 2400 ma)  and has a usb out
type connector.

Also I guess how it will perform using the balanced inputs but at line
level, to drive it from
a SoundDevices 302 mixer...
