I've received no answer for M-Audio with the power questions I asked.
The internal battery would be for short excusrsions only, or probably
better, back-up power.
The jack that interests me is the one used for the AC wall wart
taking DC input. What, maybe 3-6vdc?

sure and an even spdif digital input if your pre outputs that. very
