Wood frogs were starting here Friday night, but now we have snow. So they'r=
e
stuck in their tracks. Last year was an amazing wood frog year. The
conditions were perfect, there was a lot of warm rain after a cold spell,
and wood frogs were absolutely everywhere in the flooded forest. I've never
heard such a performance in all the years I've checked.

For those who care in the midwest usa.

the frost in the wood frog area is now under 3 feet in central us.
That puts time of arrival at about 2 to 3 weeks.

Rich Peet

For those that don't understand, this frog calls for only 1 week each
year and some of us care.
