My experience has been that V9.0 supported multi-channel files as well
as lossless encoding, both of which I experimented with.  (may not
have been as easy as it is now)  There is a free encoder for authoring
your own files.  Look around on MS' website it's not too hard to find,
it's called windows media encoder.  I'm not sure if they have updated
it for version 10.  Thanks for the heads up Rich!

Rob, here is a link describing what is required for version 9
playback, I think you need a WDM driver to be compatible with windows
applications like media player.  I'm pretty sure windows media player
does not support ASIO drivers.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.
