I too have used the Sony 7506 in the field and in the studio for years.
 These are over the ear, and very comfortable for hours of listening.
Plus they fold up (or do you say fold down?).
The frequency response is good, sensitivity with portable recorders is
good.
Typically $99USD.  Well worth the money, in my opinion.
