Thumbs up for both the Sony 7506s and the Sennheiser HD280s. They sound
different, but I wouldn't say one sounds better. Perhaps it depends on
what you are listening to.

The HD280s offer better isolation, but they accomplish this by a slight
squeezing of the skull, making them uncomfortable to wear for extended
periods. The headband sticks out further from your head than the Sonys,
if you care about that. Might make a difference with rain gear or bug
hats.

For the sweaty headphone problem, make a pair of ear cup socks out of a
t shirt. You can use elastic or a drawstring. Cooler in summer, warmer
in winter. Not enough sonic alteration to outweigh the increased
comfort.

Thank my mom for the idea. She made a set for Dad & her aviation
headsets. I got a floral print set. Thanks Mom!
