< I am looking for headphones for use in the field recording as well as
doing editing of birdsounds. Besides good quality sound, I want the
headphones to be quite durable , able to be handled with one hand while
recording in the field. My budget is limited to about $100.Please suggest me
some suitable models.>

I recommend the Sony MDR-7506

I have a pair of these and they do me well, I also use the excellent SHURE
E3, small dynamic and light...
