Sony likes PCM at this moment because they're starting to market it  again.=

They didn't like PCM when they were only marketing ATRAC.

Don't make any judgments based on what their PR copy says.  Wait  for the
gear to be shipped, then test it yourself or listen to others who give  it =
a
critical ear.

The ability to get to uncrippled .WAV files will be critical to the success=
=20
or failure of this generation of the format.
