Hi all,

For what it's worth, I downloaded the source file from
Walt's page (I think that's where that one was) and did two conversions in
Samplitude 6.04, which I use (though I own ver 7 I've yet to install
it...). You can find the results here:

  m("44khz_samp_UH.wav","//www.quietamerican.org/download/dropbox/insect");">http:
  m("44khz_samp.wav","//www.quietamerican.org/download/dropbox/insect");">http:

The "_UH" file is the highest quality supported, which is indicated as
only of benefit for 32 bit files over the other high quality mode, which
is the other file.

I would have converted to AIFF but Samp only speaks .WAV, hope that's
alright; I can do a conversion in the morning if not.

Curious what people think... :)

 best,
  aaron
