I can locate better with the stereo parabola than the mono. Just used to
listening to the stereo field and knowing exactly which way and how far
to turn the parabola from that. Whenever I get to recording in mono (or
working with M/S without a headphone decoder) I generally end up taking
off my headphones to work it out.
