Custom stuff, Walt, and (dare I say it) analog, to boot. How's that
for retro?  It was a prototype originally intended for the folks at
Dolby, who, BTW, have been using our material as demo audio sources
in their big theatre when playing back surround material, but, alas,
the technology was never brought to market.  The crossed
figure-eights are another way to do this, but not without the slight
drop in level at the cross-over points...something the MS system
mitigates nicely.

We're off to the Galapagos and an Ecudorian rainforest site along the
Rio Napo on Saturday returning on the 4th of February.

By then, the spring birds that are just now beginning to fill the
audio spectrum with tentative song, should be ramping up seriously.
