I wouldn't want to meet Fred the head in a dark alley ;-) http://www.wildlife-sound.com/Pages/Equipment/fred_head.htm What material is Fred? I use a Sennheiser head, but continue to think I could make one that modeled the human head better in terms of the acoustic transfer function. I have thought of some materials that I think would better model the head mass and human skin quality, but many of those, like ballistic gelatin or viscoelastic foam, would not be very robust.
