I guess that's true. It's been so long since I took the mic apart I'd 
forgotten I had to verify which way I had it. Never marked which side 
was which, but it sounds like something to do. I preserved the way you 
had the mini plug wired when I rewired my current handle for XLR. As 
long as it duplicates that arrangement there would be no problem.

When I went off looking for what was the standard industry pin 
connection for 5 pin I had a hard time finding anywhere that said. So, I 
finally just took what the Sony had. Later I've heard from others it's 
the standard.
