The worlds quietest mic!! (approx 5-6 dbA) is made by a friend of mine in
Stockholm, on special order. The price range is 2000 - 4000 USD, depending
on what kind of mic you want. You can get anything from top-class omnis to
MS mic's.
They are all reliable nowadays, but not as reliable as MKH-series. Phantom
power is needed, though.
