I meant to point out again what Randy Little posted earlier - that the size 
of this hole should in theory depend a lot on wavelength and mic 
diameter.  For frequencies above 12 kHz (lambda one inch) the hole will be 
much more audible with tiny mics.  So everybody should try the rig with 
their mic diaphragm sizes for themselves with a rich sound source like pink 
noise.  I used to aim my parabolas etc. with two pocket transistor radios 
hung by string in trees and set to different stations.  So dial you own 
frequency mix.
