I'm also aware that it's received some bad reports even on this group. 
That it exists does not make it a good stereo field recorder. But I'll 
be perfectly happy to see someone else spend the money to find out just 
how well it works with quality mics in a field recording situation. How 
good the mic pre is, how clean the phantom power is, etc.

So go to it.
