You will actually increase the errors as you speed up. On average.
But, 2X is not supported well anymore, and may have greater errors than
4X. So that's what I normally use. I don't have problems with 4X or 6X,
even though my writer will go faster.
The master will be read and the data rewritten, so as long as it reads
error free, it won't matter. Speed is only one factor in that. For a
master I'd have my software verify after the write, that's a extra check
to see if it got it right. Check if your software has this ability.
