As many air conditioners as I was dealing with, a pump shotgun would
have been appropriate. Tiny houses packed close together, each with it's
own central air. Though it might have been a favor to put some of the
air conditioners out of their misery, some of them were pretty sick sounding.

Does anyone know of someone who can do this service for me? I'm still
hoping to recover data on a TOC-corrupted MD. The data is valuable
enough that I don't have the nerve to try it myself--from
instructions I got on the MD list there is apparently some risk of
not being able to get the recorder back in normal working order. I'd
really like to ship the MD to someone who knows what they're doing,
and I'd pay handsomely for the service.

I haven't had a TOC problem since I stopped doing extensive editing
on the MD. I save that work for the computer. Also, once again
following Walt's sage advice, I only use clean MD's.

Aloha,
David
