A commotion just now in my garden - rushed out to find a pied currawong with one of the noisy miner fledglings in its beak, with seven other miners surrounding it and trying to persuade it to drop the baby (which appeared to be extremely unwell at this stage).  It managed to fly off with the fledgling. Too many of both species around here, so no sympathy for the unfortunate prey!
