Cool birds at Mount Majura recently.
on the Saddle- 2 olive backed orioles, strangely a single brown headed honeyeater, 3 noisy friarbirds, 1 female common koel, red wattlebirds, small 'flocks' of 1 to 3 yellow faced honeyeaters were flying over every so often heading west, and also 2 white naped honeyeaters. some ww choughs.
At the North tank, 2 gang gangs, lots of king parrots, crimson and eastern rosellas. The plantings are also flowering with hardenbergia, indigofera australis, glycine, while cassinia and lomandra look good.

Not many flowers, but odd patches on Mt Majura. next to the blue metal path grassland, in the trees, were early nancies- Wurmbea dioeca, bulbine lillies and the odd creamy candle- Stylidium graminifolium. rock ferns look good and a good cryptogamic crust of lichens and mosses.

Up the Hill, NW of the Saddle was a good patch of Stypandra glauca, Brachyloma daphnoides ('white' Daphne heath), creamy candles, actually along the Western road/track there are odd patches of Stypandra glauca, so you dont need to walk up the hill.

I had never walked North of the Watson fence, but there is a huge flattish 'horse paddock' full of great lowland woodland, with applebox, redgum, and yellowbox, that is really unusual for canberra, great canopy, no mid story, and it is so overgrazed it is hard to tell what species are in the groundcover.
