Yesterday I was driving past Parliament House after dark and looked up at the 
spotlit flag. It was surrounded by a cloud of little silver points constantly 
circling

First I thought they were drones deployed to guard against the alleged terror 
threat, then I realised they wrote Silver Gulls. The moths and other insects 
must be out in sufficient numbers for hawking to worthwhile now
