One or
two Koels have been heard at least once on most hours (or a bit less during the
middle of the day), every day, from within my GBS area for the past two weeks. I
have gone out to see them I think 4 times and succeeded 3 of those times. One of
which was somewhat further away, about 1 km from home (closer to the Kambah
sports field, but was within the GBS Site at other times of the week). I was
thinking at the time that for such an obvious sound it can be very hard to get a
good idea of the location it is coming from. On Monday night one was heard from
home, calling somewhere near here at about 10:30 p.m.

I heard a Koel calling in the distance last Saturday
evening around 7pm as I arrived home in Weston. Have not
heard it since.
