Hi again,

I’d like to thank all of you who have made such helpful suggestions, both to me directly and to the list – you’re really great, and so is this list.

I can see that a trip to Sydney is in order so I can try out every one of your suggestions and see what works best for me. I’m pleased to hear that there’s a harness that can let me carry both bins and camera, and maybe manage with slightly heavier bins. Will definitely be trying that out.  Regarding cost, I’m not sure I can cope with the idea of scrambling up waterfalls and falling into bogs with bins worth much over $700 no matter how waterproof, but I’ll certainly pay whatever it takes to make sure that future wet walks aren’t spoiled by fogged-up bins.

And wow! I can get a discount! Had better renew my membership which has just lapsed J

The attached images of a Striated (Mangrove) Heron and Bush Stone-Curlews were taken at the front and back doors respectively of our apartment at Dungeness where you catch the boat for the Hinchinbrook Island walk. A great, low-key place to stay.

Cheers,

Sue
