I suppose we should not expect hybrids to be
uniform, we should expect them to be variable. Have a look at all the odd
hybrids of lorikeets in the walk in aviary at Crace. I believe most of these
hybrids have variable untidy red on the underside, more than normal eastern
rosellas.
