I've often thought it would be a pity to remove the willows clustered together on that Kleenex-sized island in Lake Ginninderra near the swimming raft as they often contain good numbers of birds and not infrequently a bit of a gem like Nankeen Night-Herons and Cattle Egrets and once a White-bellied Sea-Eagle. Hopefully, their position on the little mud pile relegates them to the Stanhope Government's ever-burgeoning too-hard basket.
