Further to the recent posts about Flying Foxes in Charnwood, and Canberra generally, it seems very late in the season to me. I have previously only seen Grey-headed FFs in Canberra in January, at the end of January or early February, over the full moon at that season. Of course, full moon makes them more easily seen, not necessarily actually determining the timing of their visits. They like to visit the Tasmanian Blue Gums along Anzac Parade, when those trees are in flower. It seems they have diversified their tastes.

But the first week of May is "frosty toes" time for these creatures, surely?

Cheers
