Talking of Black Swans, I noticed one around the little wooden bridge at the GG's next to the golf course with a fishing spinner and a few inches of line attached to its neck. It didn't seem to be in any discomfort, but I presume there is the potential for it to get tangled on weeds or branches and be a major problem to the bird. Should I report this to anyone? Cheers, Paul -----Original Message----- From: Leo Berzins Sent: Saturday, 26 April 2008 6:26 PM To: Canberra Birds Subject: Late swan breeding? Paul, You should have ducked over the road (pardon the pun) to Kellys where there are currently six cygnets doing the rounds with their doting parents. Regards, Leo. |
