The Garden Bird Survey shows that over 25 years there have been 341 observations of Spotted Turtle Dove (this is one of the few species for which I spell out the name, to avoid confusion with other uses of the acronym).
Of these 1 was of 5 birds, 7 of 3 birds, and 58 of 2 birds. This leaves 275 (a good majority) observations of 1 bird. Approximately half the observations have been in the last 4 years, with an increase from 30 - 40 in years 22 - 24 to 72 birds in year 25.
I haven't looked at seasonality or geographic concentration.
