I'm not certain what Philip is basing his optimism on, but I'm afraid I can't share it. Adelaide has long had a healthy population of Cresties, but that has not prevented the appropriately monikered STDs from becoming co-dominants (with Rainbow Lorikeets) throughout suburbia.

I'm afraid we're going to have to take responsibilty for, and action against, this potential new environmental disaster ourselves. The Cresties have other priorities.
