I didn't realise that the colour of the owl excrement was interesting.  However I did take a photo of it on day 1 and attach it in case it is of interest to monitoring the birds health.

On the day I found the owl, there was one regurgitated pellet on the ground and a few splashes of excreta. The excreta had a few dark green streaks in it which Jerry Olsen explained was an indication that the bird may have a gastro-intestinal problem.
