A single Chestnut-rumped Thornbill a surprise among a mixed species flock along Lade Vale Rd near Gunning. It was foraging on the ground and in the middle-storey of acacia with other thornbills, whitefaces and fairy-wrens.
A rarity recordsheet will be submitted shortly.

For the first time ever I had no less than 7 species of thornbill in one location (site on Lade Vale Rd):
  • Chestnut-rumped Thornbill
  • Yellow-rumped Thornbill
  • Buff-rumped Thornbill
  • Brown Thornbill
  • Striated Thornbill
  • Yellow Thornbill
  • Weebill
Does anyone know whether this has been achieved before?

Cheers
Marnix
