Alastair,
Inspired by your curiosity at the mention I've just
read the 1976 CBN Wilson entry at CBN 3(7): 11-12. It is a full page of text
(although small size paper) so I won't retype it all. It tells of how they were
found & observed by several people and attempts to catch at least one in
nets but the mesh was too large and then attempts to obtain one with "45 bore,
dust shot hand gun but by then the 4 birds had disappeared."
