Seems to be confession time.
We too have rats in OConnor and the Currawongs that nest next door do dismember dead rats in our gutter from time to time, then feed the fragments to their nestlings.
At least one of the rats was fresh when I saw it.
I don't recall any nest failures.
I think I read somewhere that birds are not much affected by warfarin due to a different blood chemistry.
We use a more modern rat poison with unknown bird toxicity.
