When I was out blitzing on the weekend, my wife observed and intervened in a Currawong incident.  The PC has been stealing our cat's food for weeks to feed its own young - very determined and aggressive.

My wife heard much to-do and found two Red Wattlebirds attacking a Currawong that had caught their fully fledged young and was attempting to kill it.  Adele's and the bird's parents' efforts succeeded in frustrating the attack and the young flew into nearby bushes where she lost sight of it.

The RWBs still have dependent young, but I don't know if the rescuee is one of them.

This morning, I saw a blue Satin Bowerbird in Dominion Circuit in Deakin.  A well built bower with much decoration is situated in the front garden of the house.  It is only in relatively recent years that SBBs have been seen in this area with most activity around the base of Red Hill.  I have heard of bowers in houses near Red Hill but not so far into the local suburbs.
