Thanks to Terry's posting of April 12 I had my first ever sightings of Swift
Parrots at abt. noon yesterday just below the reservoir in Majura reserve.
There were about a dozen which appeared to be drinking in the gully just
below the reservoir (Is this water run off from the reservoir?). As I
approached they flew off in all directions. I had eight plainly in sight at
one stage and at the same time I was surrounded by many others calling from
the tree tops.

Also, thanks to Barbara 's directions I was able to first hear and then
sight a single Zebra Finch, closely followed by a single Diamond Firetail
(another first for me in the ACT) out at Dunlop last week.

Cheers
