Well of course I know all that. I didn't even
bother to do the maths, as I was just telling a story. I was referring to the
group of 45 Mynas in the area but then guessing there are 1000 times that many
in Canberra, also allowing for the possibility that I might be one or two
orders of magnitude out. I was also just being facetious, I don't always
need to be the professional ornithologist or statistician. The last sentence of
Geoffrey refers to the aspects called the functional response and the numerical
response (but that is going back to my 3rd year uni zoology of
1977).
