Hi Roger,
Nice observation. I have gone there fairly often over the past 20 years (only long break was following the fires when they were blocked off for most of the year. I have encountered the species there I'd think about four times over that period, several more times can be added if I included the Pine Island & Point Hut area, which would only be a few minutes flying time away. At one time about three years ago I came across a pair of them at Kambah Pool. Another time during when COG used to do the honeyeater watch at Point Hut the group watched a high altitude skirmish between a juvenile White-bellied Sea-Eagle and a Wedge-tailed Eagle. That was intriguing and took a bit of working out what they were.
