There were good numbers of Swift Parrots at Mt Majura again this morning
with at least 60 birds present again after fewer birds being present at the
site yesterday. When I first arrived at the site there were flocks
scattered in all of the bushland around before they concentrated back in
the same area they have been seen all week. Yesterday I tried to see if I
could find where they were roosting but they all took off in seperate small
flocks over the suburbs to the NW and W of the reservoir. They were flying
quite high and went a fairly long way so I eventually couldn't see them
anymore. Any information people can find out about where they may be
roosting would be great.
Enjoy the birding...
