We have used Birdsight for some years and found it useful. We also work from a Mac. However it has some problems at present. A bug which was corrected in 2010 caused the app to crash when you tried to email results. This has resurfaced and a number of queries has not resulted in any action.

Mark,

If you only want am app for Australia, try Birdsight AU, or if you want world wide there is My Bird Observations (MBO). Both allow you to generate CSV files for importing into an appropriate application on you desk/laptop computer. I use Birdsite AU and have used Birdsight China and found them OK. Have not tried MBO, but it looks pretty good and is not as Euro or US centric as other birding apps. It uses the IOC nomenclature.

I can't advise on applications for non iOS devices as I use Macs.

G'day everyone,

I've been using Eremea recently for listing my sightings, which I think is a great application, but I want more versatility and greater reporting
options than what Eremea currently offers.

Can anyone recommend any software that might give me these options? I'm
particularly interested in ones that have an app for iPads.

Mark Young
