Hi Peter,

What I'm wanting is to get a much greater detail out of my sightings than what
Eremaea provides.

If we look at the statistics page I get numbers for Sites, Lists, Observations
and Species. But I want to also see a breakdown of each species and how often
I've seen them. Perhaps if the listing for sites was hyperlinked to a table
that then lists the sites, and each site would be a hyperlink that gave you a
breakdown of each species at the site.

To give you an idea of what I'm trying to do, I've attached a copy of my
exported year list from Eremaea, which I’ve imported it into Excel and I've
then created a series of pivot tables from that data.(if anyone else wants a
copy of this just email me and I'll be only too happy to supply you with one).

* The first list shows that I have 26 entries (observations) in Eremaea
for Ash Island this year. But it doesn't tell me if I've seen 1 bird 26 times
or 26 different birds or something in between.
* The second list gives me that breakdown of how many species I've seen
and how many times I've recorded that into Eremaea. As you can see, I've seen
24 species only once at Ash Island and 2 species twice, which gives me the 26
entries (observations) listed in the above point.
* The third list gives me a breakdown of how often I've seen a species,
but it doesn't say where I've seen them. Eg; I’ve seen Aust Darter once, Aust
Gannett on 7 different occasions, Aust Pipit on 3 different occasions etc
* The fourth list gives me that missing breakdown of where I've seen each
species. Eg: I've seen an Aust Darter once at Scheyville, Aust Gannets 7 times
at Long Reef and Aust Pipits I've seen 3 times; once at Ash Island, Hexham,
once at Ash Island, Wagtail Way and once at Long Reef Golf Course.

I also want to be able to look at all my sites and work out what percentage of
a particular species is seen and where. Eg: Silver Gulls: Sightings, 90% at
long Reef, 7% at Narrabeen, 3% at Stockton etc.

There are some other stats I want to look at correlating too, like best months
for a particular species, entries for different age groups and sexes etc.

I know that I can get most, if not all of that information that I want from
Eremaea, but the limitation I find with the application is that I have to go
searching for it in different spots and I can’t have multiple windows open at
the same time, making it difficult to track and compare different stats. I want
to be able to have all that information right where I need it.

Regards,
Mark

Just for interest, what sorts of things can't Eremaea do for you, Mark?
