Wed 18 Jan Black Falcon Freeling Stormwater Ponds
A pair of Black Falcons came in low over the ponds heading in a westerly direction and then spent around ten minutes stirring up the large local Galah population thats residing around the Freeling township at the moment!

Tue 17 Jan Freckled Duck, Latham's Snipe Clayton Bay
Freckled Duck (6) Four resting in the lagoon on reed clumps near the western end.Two were feeding with Grey Teal and Pacific Black Ducks. Latham's Snipe (2) Feeding along the eastern margin.

Sun 15 Jan Spotless Crake, Australian Spotted Crake, Baillon`s Crake, Buff-banded Rail Laratinga Wetlands, Mount Barker
The ideal water levels at Laratinga have created favorable habitat for crakes. Within a mornings walk I observed 9 Australian Spotted Crakes, 1 Spotless Crake, 2 Baillon`s Crakes and 1 Buff-banded Rail.
