Brown Quail (2) heard-Point Sturt Peninsula Latham's Snipe (3) Feeding around the edges of the Lagoon adjacent to Alexandrina Drive-Clayton Bay Painted Button-quail (1) In Eucalyptus porosa woodlot-Point Sturt Peninsula Diamond Firetail (1) Immature bird perched on fence-Kindaruar Road

Thu 5 Jan Major Mitchell`s Cockatoo Gluepot Reserve South Australia
Two adults first seen along track 8 near the junction with track 7 and then later three adults seen along track two near to the homestead. Other birds seen were Red-lored Whistler, Striated Grasswren, Scarlet-chested Parrot, Shy Heathwren, Spotted Nightjar, Barn Owl.

Freckled Duck (2) Both birds seen roosting on piled up dead branches on small island within lake.

Tue 3 Jan Superb Fairy-wren, Black-chinned Honeyeater Private Residence, Gawler East
Superb Fairy-wren (3) one male, one female & one recently fledged bird - still calling and being fed by female bird. After initial sighting on NYE, found again today (Wed.) in our Acacia pycnantha & then sheltering in dense cover of large Acacia paradoxa at rear of our yard. Also seen atop next door neighbours large pile of wood/prunings. Black-chinned Honeyeater (1) heard from neighbouring Euc. camaldulensis - has been present since July 2011 (breeding pair in aug/sept) and single bird heard occasionally from adjoining properties since early November/December.

Brown Quail, Crested Shrike-tit St Hallett Winery, Tanunda
Brown Quail (1) Heard calling from next to one of the wastewater Eucalypt plantations -grabbed the camera and managed to get some ok photos! First time I have recorded this species at this site. Crested Shrike-tit (3) Adult male calling strongly from same plantation, with two immatures in tow!

Spotted Harrier (1), Black Falcon (1) Thiele Hwy
Watched as a Black Falcon with piracy on it's mind, very nearly pushed a Spotted Harrier with prey down into the stubble it was flying above! The Falcon performed about 5 harrasment dives in the attempt to get the Harrier to drop it meal!

A very recently dead Little Grassbird out the front of Frewville Foodland, presumably having crashed into the shop window.

Fri 30 Dec White-fronted Chat Mutton Cove CP, Le Fevre Peninsula
We found about 20 of these flitting about in the samphire in the park. Not a great photo but best we could get.
