near the Playhouse at the edge of the lawn leading down to the river.

Location: Freeling Sewage Ponds
Banded Stilt (Cladorhynchus leucocephalus) (1) Single Banded Stilt feeding on
the larger of the ponds. Saw another single Banded Stilt on the same pond 18
months ago, wondering if it's the same one that's come back? Very unusual
sighting for this area.

pond, then in flight.

Location: Denver Road, Hindmarsh Island
Spotted Harrier (Circus assimilis) (1) At least a dozen individuals of 6
different raptor species seen in 2.5km along Denver Road. The Spotted Harrier
was on the south side of the road not far from the turnoff.
Banded Lapwing (Vanellus tricolor) (15) As previously reported by Winston
Syson, about 2km along Denver Road in a paddock on the north side of the road.

Eastern Curlew (Numenius madagascariensis) (1) Also in the same area.

Barn Owl (Tyto alba) (3) Three Barn Owls seen dead on the side of the road
today, while driving home from SYP.
I have not seen this before, are there more Owl's out there with the increase
in food available?

Location: Kartoo Rd, south Mark Point, Coorong.
Ruff (Philomachus pugnax) (1) Ruff seen wading with the 10 Common Greenshank.
Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) (10)
Birds first seen wading in a shallow lake a few a kilometers south of Mark
Point on Kartoo Rd (4wd). They flew when I moved to the back of the car. Was
able to watch them for awhile through the scope then they flew straigh towards
me for awhile, good view of the Ruff. Watched them fly over my head and
dissapear towards the Coorong water with my binoculars. No photos.
