May I suggest the reason for the paucity of records for Jerrabomberra
wetlands is because Canberra birders contribute records to the COG database
http://cogatlas.org.au/ rather than Eremea.

Thanks to everyone who responded with suggestions about a birding database.
I'm having a look at some of the options. Unfortunately the link for the
Birdinfo program only shows an email address which bounces if I try to send
a message to it - claiming my email is spam. So I can't contact the author.
Both Birdpedia and Eremea look interesting, especially for sharing data.
There's a couple of species I've seen at the Jerrabombera Wetlands which
aren't listed on either site.
