Hi Peter,
It surprises me, because there's many much keener birders than myself spending
heaps of time there. A couple of people have helped me with identifying
particular species recently at Jerrabombera; a lady told me about a pair of
Sharp Tailed Sandpipers being present, and a gentleman the other day helped me
with spotting the differences between the swallows and tree martins as well as
correcting my identification of the Intermediate Egret.
I guess we just have to encourage those keen people to record their
observations on Eremea and Birdpedia. :) I have species lists for the last 6
months or so for that site, but I wasn't focussing on recording numbers. From
a database perspective, the species names at least indicate the changing
species between winter ans spring.
