Hi Mike
On 9/12/07, I had at least 300 White-throated Needletails in Cattai (approx.
60 km NW of Sydney CBD) and about 100 that same morning at Scheyville NP
ahead of a hail storm. These are my only Swift sightings this season.

G'day Birding Ausers
FTS I have received or seen very few sightings of Fork-tailed
Swifts this season. Do you have any sightings to report? I was
going looking for them up the Mitchell Hwy in Qld last week but a
little water changed those plans.
WTNT Plenty of White-throated Needletails in Victoria last week. I
located 20 groups on Thursday and Friday along the Princes Hwy
between Rosedale (Vic) and Narooma (NSW). The larger groups were in
Victoria totalling 620 birds. BUT! coming back to Melbourne
yesterday along the same route I never scored one WTNT. Have they
all popped over to Tassie?
Happy swift watching
Mike
