Following on from the discussion about Ninox owl ID points i went out
to Cumberland SF (West Pennant Hills, Sydney) with my Dad and my 1
year old daughter at lunch time today and photographed a Southern
Boobook.
I have uploaded a couple of images onto my website if anyone is interested in following up on the excellent points given by Greg Clancy and Sean Dooley earlier. http://www.pbase.com/davidstowe/owlsThere are some images of Barking Owl too - (the one that Chris Charles found in Chatswood last year) which make a good comparison.
